But a TED conference is broader still, showcasing important research and ideas from all disciplines and exploring how they connect. The goal is to expand the imagination, make unexpected connections, inspire conversation and set the ball in motion for meaningful learning and change.
TEDx
TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under a free license granted by TED.

Solving the Struggles of Tomorrow
As the world evolves, so do the challenges that lie ahead, growing in complexity and demanding innovative solutions. In this ever-changing landscape, societies are called to adapt, innovate, and collaborate like never before because the future can often feel like an unsolved puzzle. As a community, TEDxITB returned with a new version to continue its journey and face challenges. TEDxITB 8.0 carries the theme of PUZZLE: the struggles of tomorrow, with Golden Indonesia 2045 as the main discussion relevant to Indonesia's current state.
Indonesia's journey toward achieving the vision of a "Golden Indonesia 2045" is fraught with challenges. These challenges, like missing pieces of a puzzle, create a complex network of issues that hinder the nation's development. The grand theme, Puzzle, symbolizes these missing pieces—critical problems that must be identified and solved to complete the bigger picture of a prosperous and developed Indonesia. Each puzzle piece represents a struggle. From the economy, literacy, healthcare, youth empowerment, culture, and society, to the blue-collar workforce.
To make Indonesia 2045's dream a reality, TEDxITB 8.0 has a mission to provide a platform to empower young innovators and thought leaders. Through discussions, collaborations, and innovative approaches, it aims to unite thought leaders, policymakers, and citizens in building a future that embraces challenges as opportunities for growth. This is not merely about identifying problems but being ready to solve them—one step, one decision, one breakthrough at a time.
TEDxITB 8.0 presents several series of events for the experience, raising awareness to be a prepared and ready individual in solving problems. Consisting of pre-event and main event, the event will be filled with collaborative workshops, talk shows, insightful group discussions, TED Talks, Lounge, and innovative performances that will provide us with all the tools, strategies, and mindset needed to overcome future struggles.
In the spirit of this ambitious journey, the event serves as a call to action: How can we, as a society, communities, and individuals, piece together the puzzle of the future? How can we ensure that the dream of Indonesia 2045 is not just a dream but a reality that can be realized together on this journey? With that question in mind, collective effort, and a forward-thinking approach, the puzzle of tomorrow can be pieced together—one bold step at a time—paving the way for Indonesia’s golden era.
